TAKE A WALKING TOUR WITH THE
MILWAUKEE PRESERVATION ALLIANCE
The Milwaukee Preservation Alliance is now offering free, guided walking tours of the Soldiers Home District. Each tour is 90 minutes long, approximately one mile, and will cover a variety of information including the history, architecture and preservation stories of these historic buildings. Tours are free and will run rain or shine.
GETTING THERE
The Soldiers Home is located on the grounds of the J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, west of American Family Field. From I-94: Follow signage for the VA National Historic Landmark along I-94 (exit 308A). From National Avenue, follow signs for the VA Medical Center.
